Pilleated Woodpecker

Pileated woodpecker I carved from Tupelo wood. Painted with acrylic paints and finished with a Matte clear. Highly detailed in the carving and paint, this decoy is a wiggler/wobbler style swim action. I entered this decoy in competition at The Gathering in Perham, MN and finished 5th place. The category was judged heavily on swim, and the wobbler style didn’t impress the judges. This decoy does not feature my epoxy finish I use on all my production fish so it’s not as durable as a decoy.
